Sideline Flats has been reimagined as Varsity View Condominiums!

Sideline Flats was originally planned as a luxury condo development on the former Mulligan’s Bar site near Notre Dame. Initial excitement followed a 2022 groundbreaking and demolition of the old bar to make way for about 27 upscale units close to campus. 

However, the project stalled for an extended period. Construction paused after only early foundation work, leaving a concrete shell and a vacant lot that frustrated neighbors and investors. Local chatter cited financing issues, lack of deposits, and pricing challenges as possible reasons for the halt.

Instead of a complete cancellation, more recent developments indicate the original Sideline Flats concept was reworked and taken over by new developers. The site has been rebranded as Varsity View, now planned for 39 units and back on track toward completion by next fall.
